The Norfolk Broads are possibly most famous as they are man made! There are over 125 miles of navigable lockfree waterway and dotted alongside the broads there are picturesque towns and villages, could this sound any more charming? The Norfolk Broads is certainly up there with one of the most popular places to visit in the UK for a stay-cation so we have listed 5 Reasons To Take A Norfolk Broads Holiday:
After the past 18 months, everyone deserves a break! The Norfolk Broads is the perfect place to relax after what seems like an extremely long 2020! With miles of countryside it is the perfect place to get out, be free and enjoy the great outdoors! The Broads is home to an array of wildlife too, so whilst you are admiring the countryside scenery you might see a few visitors along the way!
The waterways are something to be desired, truly like a photo out of a movie! With over 120 miles of lock free waterway, it is certainly worth a view! We do recommend taking a trip on a boat and experiencing the waterways yourself and adding some new memories to the collection!
The Broads has many walkways and walking routes dotted all around in different towns, however there is nothing quite like hiring a bike and seeing the views from a bike! After all, it gives you a great excuse to go and treat yourself to some lunch and drinks after experiencing the many meandering lanes and beautiful sights. If you are booking for something truly worth seeing, then venture down to Horsey Beach which is well known for seal watching!
The food and drink
The Broads might not be well known as a foodie destination, however there is a huge amount of gastro pubs dotted along the broads that you can pit stop at when taking a boating trip, or alternatively drive to!
We certainly love to visit a holiday park, one of our favourites is of course Belle Aire Hemsby, they have lots on offer and it is a fun trip for all of the family. After exploring the Broads, come back to your home away from home and enjoy the live entertainment they have to offer.
